Panlite Sheet Features
Impact Resistance
Panlite Sheet has the highest level of strength of any plastic-three hundred times stronger than glass of the same thickness, 30 times tougher than PMMA sheet. Whether called upon to absorb hammer strikes or falling rocks, Panlite's exceptional impact resistance makes it an ideal high-tech material.
Material Conformity
Panlite Sheet can be easily cut and drilled using regular factory tools. Complicated designs with many curved surfaces, thermobending, vacuum bending and cold forming are all possible.
Weatherability
Panlite Sheet has proven itself under extremes of heat and cold. Even after long term outdoor exposure it retains its strength and excellent surface appearance.
Flame Resistance
Panlite Sheet and Film have passed the UL94 combustibility tests conducted for 94VTM and 94V-2. Also, Panlite has a high oxgen index (O.I.) of over 25%, making it difficult to burn.
Lightweight
Weighing half as much as glass of the same thickness, Panlite Sheet's ease of use makes it an excellent construction material.
Transparency
Panlite Sheet, with a light transmittance level above 85% (clear sheet type), boasts the same transparency and surface luster as glass.

Temperature Resistance
Outstanding performance even under extremes of heat and cold. Practically no damage occurs to Panlite Sheet between -40°C and +125°C, giving the user an extraordinary range of options.
Thermal Conductivity
Panlite Sheet, with one-fourth the thermal conductivity of glass, effectively saves energy by storing both hot and cold temperatures due to its low heat radiation.
Electrical Insulating
Panlite Sheet has the strongest electrical insulating property of all plastics, with its widest applications seen in the electric and electronics industry.
Volume resistivity: | 3 x 10 16 ohm.cm |
Dielectric breakdown voltage: | 40kV/mm |
Dielectric constant: | 2.90 ~ 2.95 |
Dimensional Stability
Panlite Sheet dimensional stability is proven by its low degree of creep.
Sanitary Qualities
Panlite Sheet has passed the general standard "Synthetic Resin Instruments and Container Package" tests as developed under the Food Hygiene Law (Notification No. 20 of Ministry of Health and Welfare, 1982), and is safe for use around food.
Tested Items | Results |

Potassium Permanganate consumption | Acceptable |
Noise Reduction
Panlite effectively muffles high frequency noise, and is useful in combating noise pollution in areas where this problem exists.
